As you may remember from previous issues of the InkSpill, we were going to institute a project management system. You may have even received log in information. Unfortunately that solution just did not work out the way we'd hoped. We've begun using a new system that we really like, OmniFocus. For you Mac users, we highly recommend it. You can even sync all our Apple devices to stay on top of your workload. We will keep you updated!

Business Hours
We hope you know that our clients are extremely important to us and we want to do everything reasonably possible to keep you satisfied. Many of our clients projects with us are not related to their day jobs which obviously necessitates early morning and evening business communication. We completely understand this as we were in the same boat once upon a time.

Our early morning and evening hours are usually allocated to catching up on projects and time with our daughters. And while we are happy to speak with you at your convenience, appointments allow us to manage the expectations of our family and balance our work and home life.

In general, we are able to answer email more quickly than the phone because we can work it in throughout the day and night. If you need to speak by phone outside business hours, barring a true emergency (website is offline, has been hacked, etc..) , please emails us to set up the call in advance to ensure that we are available to talk when you have the time.

We love working from home, but it can create some time and management issues!

First, do not annoy

Ok, Recently I posted on the virtues of enhancing the user experience with media like Animation, Audio and Video and it occurs to me that I may need to qualify that a bit. As my title suggests, the first tenet of any webocratic oath should be First, Do NOT Annoy! So even though I am a proponent of adding media to your site and even though I DID specify judicious use, I just wanted to follow-up with a few “Best Practices” where these and other things are involved.
